Abstract Textile Art

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The artwork of Heather Whidden, a University of Alabama Master of Fine Arts student, are exhibited from Friday, April 1 to Friday, April 29 at UA Gallery into the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center in downtown Tuscaloosa.

The exhibit, entitled “(Re)Pair, makes use of weathered fabric, stitches, nails alongside materials to inform stories of discomfort and healing. Whidden, a Pensacola, Florida, local, finished from University of West Florida with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in artwork in 2012.
