Next to the Cantor Arts Center, the Anderson range is an important institution in a recently constructed building. Described as “one associated with the world’s most outstanding exclusive assemblies of modern and contemporary United states art, ” admission is no-cost. The collection of 121 paintings and sculptures addresses works from 1941 to 2010, including popular abstract artists eg Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Ellsworth Kelly and Richard Diebenkorn. Docent-led tours occur every day (except whenever shut on Tuesdays). Architectural process features praised the building it self, established in 2014, for the “brilliant balance between energy and beauty.”
